The collection is private and represents the result of the work of collecting, acclimatizing, and naming carried out by four generations of the Pallanca family. Since 1989, the Garden has been a private museum open to the public. The Garden, spanning 10,000 meters, winds among the sandstone rocks of the ancient Monte Nero volcano. The botanical richness is accompanied by the evocative naturalistic setting within which the visit takes place. In every corner, you can discover something unusual and botanically rare. Steps and terraces were carved into the ochre-colored stone, giving the collection the appearance of a rock garden, alternating with shaded areas, spaces for meditation, and a breathtaking view of the sea and the bay. Management of the Garden is now entrusted to the Pallanca Exotic Botanical Garden Cultural Association, founded by the Pallanca family. The Garden also houses a comprehensive specialized library, but public access requires reservation.
